Joystick One Year Show

Saku Yanagawa is a Japanese comedian based in Chicago. Internationally he’s performed in over 10 countries and across the US at notable venues including Laugh Factory, Second City, Zanies, and The Comedy Store. He has headlined many comedy festivals not only in America but around the world, including Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and Fuji Rock Festival in Japan. Saku became the finalist for several comedy competitions including in Seattle, Palm Springs, and Boston. He also appeared on “NBC’s Break Out Comedy Festival” and “StandUp NBC”. Saku was selected “Forbes 30 Under 30” as a comedian in 2021. Saku is a founder and Artistic Director of The World Comedy Expo.

Claire Sundbye is a Chicago based comedian and producer.  Her animated, quick-witted and conversational style is undeniably entertaining! Claire’s material speaks to her unique experience as a queer woman, growing up with a mentally ill parent, being raised in Kansas, and more.  Coming from a lifelong theater background, Claire found her way into standup through performing sketch & improv at the iO and Second City.  She’s performed at Laugh Factory, Zanies Comedy Club, Comedy Bar, House of Blues and Lincoln Lodge. She most recently was the feature for tiktok sensation Chrissy Chlapecka at Zanies.  Above all else- Claire has the unique ability to merge her distinct voice and style with the necessary needs of the audience and environment. This has opened her up to many opportunities.
