Calloused Tongues Comedy

Calloused Tongues is a stand up comedy collective showcasing the funniest up and coming comedians from Chicago. Formed in 2021, Calloused Tongues is committed to sharing their biting, thought-provoking, hilarious comedy with the rest of the country.

Knute Gregory is a Chicago-based comedian who started doing standup in March 2018 after getting a discount on a class. He passed the class with flying colors and since then has been spreading his off-kilter comedic stylings throughout the city of Chicago and beyond. He currently produces a show at the Lincoln Lodge called the 'No Gimmicks Needed Comedy Show', which is on the first Friday of each month.

Sam Selby is a Chicago-based comedian whose comedic style can only be described as the perfect combination of cute and crude. Focusing on the mundane moments of her life with clever humor and fun wordplay. In addition to performing across the country, she has performed at Zanies, Laugh Factory, and Comedy Shrine. She produces Top Picks comedy at the Lincoln Lodge Theater. Follow her at @samselbyy.

Olivia Carter a comedian, writer, and actor from Chicago. She has been featured on stages such as The Laugh Factory , Zanies, Lincoln Lodge Theatre and House of Blues! Olivia’s style is quirky, performative, and holds a mirror up to current culture. When she’s not performing stand up, Olivia is also a member of The Chicago Dramatist as a member playwright. Ricardo Angulo is a Chicago-based writer, comedian, and co-creator of Calloused Tongues Comedy. Prior to stand up, Ricardo was trained in improv at The Annoyance and writing at Second City. His work has been featured in The New Yorker, The Big Jewel, and the Whiskey Journal, and he was a co-writer and editor of the book, “Welcome To The Future Which Is Mine”, by (Not) Elon Musk.

Gabriel Alvizo is a Chicago-based comedian and co-creator of Calloused Tongues Comedy. Prior to stand up, Gabriel was a stage actor and performer in California. Gabriel has performed in Comedy Clubs all over, from Rooster T's Comedy Club in San Francisco to the World Famous Zanies Club in Chicago.
